EP1000 is a fully functioning true ePassport reader that works based on the embedded microprocessor chip and antenna of E-PASSPORT.

An ePassport, also known as an electronic passport, includes an embedded microprocessor chip and antenna. This chip integrates the holder’s biodata, such as a country, name, dob, expiry date and photograph. EP1000 is capable of reading these biodata via a smartcard reader. Unlike traditional OCR based passport scanner which is error-prone, EP1000 gives 100% accuracy in extracting the data from the E-PASSPORT.
